LC's First Christmas Program...

Well, everything was going FINE in rehearsal...

...but Pudge suffered from a bit of performance anxiety when it came time for the big show.
She DID have lots of fun seeing her buddies all dressed up, though!
Alayna wore the FANCIEST coat you ever saw...

...and Santa Claus has NUTHIN' on Eli...

Our buddy Ian was also dressed up as cute as a bug, but that little stinker got away before I could get a shot of his stripedy Christmas outfit. You'll have to catch him in the performance video. Those boys in our baby class dress to the NINES, I tell you.

After the show, we all got to have some time with Santa Claus and share some cookies and punch!
Eli's offering condolences to the Big Guy for being outdone in the cute department.

Alayna wasn't much for sharing her requests with Santa. She'd noticed a big bag of loot in the corner, so she was prepared to grab her own Christmas goodies.

Pudge and Santa Claus...
Trust me, Santa is thanking GOD for that thick moustache that's acting as a barrier between his nostrils and the little Christmas surprise LC had under her skirt.
You'd think a four hour nap followed by a straight hour of pre-Christmas program wailing would indicate to a moderately capable mother that something might be up with her daughter.
Nope. Not me.
Half way through the Santa line, when I noticed the rash covering every visible surface of her face and hands, I realized that LC was having a reaction to the antibiotic she'd started on Monday.

So, Omnicef is making the naughty list this year. And our JingleBell Dropout will have to switch to a more friendly anti-crankiness drug tomorrow.
Fa, la, la, la, la, ... la, la...la, LA.

  1. Absolutely adorable! You know the old Christmas show - Year Without a Santa? - it is the one with heat miser and cold miser in it - Christopher's theme song is poop miser. LOL! Hope LC feels better soon. I have found that you can give 1/2 an immodium pill and it helps to calm things down. I crush it and put it with his other meds or about 5 cc of water & put it through the tube. It has the added effect of sleepiness (yeah!) :)

  2. lc, if that performance didn't put me in the Christmas mood--nothing will! THAT was a "whole lot of cute" going on. I am so sorry I missed the grand performance, but judging from your reaction. . . I have a feeling you THOUGHT you saw nana in the audience, didn't you? Poor lil pudge. i love you so! Merry Christmas to the cutest quartet I ever did see.

  3. Poor LC. Hope she gets some more LC-friendly antibiotics! (I remember those days. Antibiotics + kids = not good times.) All four of those little ones were just adorable!!

By the way Mom, it was so great to hear you singing again! I'm remembering a duet of Away In A Manger with Whit--so beautiful!

  5. Oh Pudge, so sorry about the reaction...We didn't notice so I am sure Santa was none the wiser! Don't worry he will still arrive with many goodies for you on Christmas!

Oh they were all so very cute weren't they? Glad you guys were able to make it, just wouldn't have been the same without our buddy.

I hope little LC gets to feeling better soon. Let's hope this little incident with Santa doesn't move her off the nice list :0

  7. OH, that's too cute. Love her outfit and all was going well for a while... What a cute idea to have the little ones in a show. I think John Michael would've cried when people clapped :-)
